Thanks so much, Christina. I am forever grateful to you for recommending these apps to me. Dr. David Spiegel is a miracle worker for the hypnosis, and there's something in it for everyone: sleep, food, anxiety, grief and even very specific problems people have. He's one of my two new heroes. The other one is me. :)

I wasn't aware of Binaural Beats. I will check it out. I have been listening to tones - I search youtube for healing tones or focus music when my brain needs a break from everything. It does seem like it helps.

That's great, Lora. Sometimes, if I'm really anxious, I use the Expand app with those binaural beats to help relax me before I begin the self-hypnosis. After using them both every morning, it can set a whole new tone for the rest of my day.

Glenna, you're candor is refreshing and greatly appreciated, no doubt by many, including me. You're comment about not being able to calm down enough to mediate truly hit home. That's me all over. I'm happy for you that you've been able to find a measure of peace thanks to the apps you referenced.

Sherry, you are awesome as always. It’s true, I used to think I’d never be able to settle down for self-care with my hypervigilant nervous system. It took a lot of practice, but now it’s my favorite part of the day. I just wish I hadn’t waited so long.
